JAKARTA: The Jakarta Environmental Management Board is planning to spend Rp 17 billion (US$1.8 million) to buy two air-quality monitoring stations next year.
Agency head Peni Susanti said her office needed to propose the plan to the city administration since most of the existing devices, previously donated by foreign donors, were no longer working. According to data from BPLHD, Jakarta currently has five air-quality monitoring stations, with only two still operational. -JP
