Father charged with violence and incest

JAKARTA: The police said Monday they would charge a 50-year-old man from Limboto, Gorontalo, who impregnated his teenage daughter, with articles under the child protection law that could send him to prison for 15 years.

Limboto Police detective chief Adj. Comr. Heru Muslimin said the man, who has two wives and 12 children, would also be charged under articles from the domestic violence law.

Neighbors were angered when his 14-year-old daughter admitted she was five months' pregnant with his child, and reported him to the local police. - JP
