AKARTA: Home Minister Ga-mawan Fauzi said Tuesday the regional situation remained calm despite the current scandals surrounding the Bank Century bailout and the criminalization of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"Only a few provinces such as Southeast Sulawesi and South Sulawesi have reacted with student protests," he said as quoted by Kompas.com
He claimed most regions welcomed measures taken by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to resolve the KPK case and open up the Bank Century scandal.
