Worker dies after being electrocuted

JAKARTA: A worker died after reportedly being electrocuted by a cable from a park lamp at the Finance Ministry in Central Jakarta, where the victim was welding a gate on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Endang, 20, was taken to Gatot Subroto Hospital, but died on the way. According to the official website of the city police, the park lamp pole did not have a lamp, but the cable was cut open and touched the victim. - JP
