ANDUNG: A heavy downpour of sleet accompanied by strong winds hit Bandung on Monday afternoon, felling several trees and causing damage to a car.
An eyewitness said the car had been parked on the street when two trees, uprooted by the wind, fell on it. The roof of the car was reported to be badly damaged, while all the windows were broken.
The two passengers inside at the time suffered minor injuries.
The weather in the West Java capital had been cloudy since 9 a.m., and heavy rains began at 1 p.m., with strong winds blowing and pea-sized droplets of ice falling.
