AKARTA: National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Edward Aritonang said Monday the police had arrested two more people linked to the ATM scams in Bali and Jakarta.
The two men were identified as Agus and Hasan Gunawan.
Agus was arrested in Tuban, East Java, last week while he was attempting to apply for a fake ID card from local administration there.
Hasan was arrested in Jakarta while he was in his house.
"These men were involved in the same work, but belong to different syndicates.
"They are usually ordered to install skimmers in various ATM locations and then collect the data to be further copied by other members of the team," Edward said.
Besides the two, police also confiscated Rp 15 million (US$1,600) of funds, dozens of skimmers and a card copying machine.
