EDAN, North Sumatra: A high court has ordered the Medan office General Elections Commission (KPUD) to postpone the polls for mayor until further notice.
The court in Medan issued the ruling on March 26, but only publicized it Tuesday during a hearing of a lawsuit filed by mayoral candidate Rudolf Mazuoka Pardede.
The independent candidate was protesting the rejection of his nomination, following a minor spat over his education qualifications that did not meet the requirements.
