JAKARTA: Medan-based plantation tycoon Darianus Lungguk Sitorus failed to show up for his first questioning session in connection with a bribery case at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Wednesday
AKARTA: Medan-based plantation tycoon Darianus Lungguk Sitorus failed to show up for his first questioning session in connection with a bribery case at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Wednesday.
KPK spokesman Johan Budi said the commission had sent a summons for Sitorus few days ago. "We will summon him again," Johan said.
The KPK needs testimony from Sitorus as a witness in a bribery case involving a Jakarta State Administrative Court judge, Ibrahim, and lawyer Adner Sirait who represents Sitorus company, PT Sabar Ganda.
The KPK caught Ibrahim red-handed taking a Rp 300 million (US$33,300) from Adner in Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta last week.
Johan said the KPK suspects Adner gave the money to buy the court's favor.
