ENPASAR: Bali Police will deploy 4,032 officers to secure regional elections in five municipalities and regencies in Bali on May 4.

In the regional elections, voters will elect new mayors and regents in Denpasar, Badung, Bangli, Tabanan and Karangasem.

Bali Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Gde Sugianyar Dwi Putra said the coming elections could be disrupted by conflicts.

"We are preparing to ensure security in the island during the May election," he said at Ngurah Rai Sports Complex on Wednesday.
