Jakarta: When actress and model Dian Sastrowardoyo sets herself a target, nothing will get in her way.

In 2008, Dian, the lead female in the breakthrough teen movie Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? (What’s up with Cinta?), said she wanted to be married by the age of 28. Her wish came true yesterday, when she entered into holy matrimony with her long-term boyfriend Maulana Indraguna Sutowo.
Dian and Indraguna had a Yogyakarta style wedding ceremony in the Dharmawangsa Hotel Ballroom. Before the wedding vows, Dian recited verses of the Koran from a room adjacent to the ballroom.
“I could not resist the elders and I truly had my heart set on marrying Indraguna Sutowo, one of Adiguna Sutowo’s sons,” Dian said to the elders in the family, as quoted by okezone.com. Adiguna Sutowo is a businessman and son of former president of state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina in the 1970s, Ibnu Sutowo.
Dian wore an off-white kebaya designed by Edward Hutabarat.
Present at the wedding ceremony was House of Representative Speaker Taufik Kiemas and businessman Yapto Soerjosoemarno, father of Dian’s former love Abi Yapto.
Dian and Indraguna started dating in 2008. The two were engaged earlier this year. — JP
