The album, Denada said, reflected her long journey to find out what she really wanted from music.

“I spent nine years learning and discovering new things,” said the 31-year-old, as quoted by Vivanews.com.

“I had opportunities to try new genres and be recognized. This is the perfect time for me to release [an album with] exactly what I want,” she added.

In her latest album, Denada, initially a rapper who later turned to dangdut, worked with DJ
Soemantri, combining different music genres.

“I had 100 million wishes,” joked the daughter of senior singer Emillia Contessa.

“I told [DJ Soemantri] about my wishes and he transformed them into seven songs,” she added.

Denada, who started singing 20 years ago and released six albums, surprised music lovers in her latest album, performing a duet with her former singing partner, rapper Iwa K. — JP
