The starlet, popularly known as Jupe, said on Monday that she had pulled out of her own will, as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
“I have been thinking about sharing this decision with the public quite a while ago. Maybe this is the right moment,” she said.
Okezone.com reported the Coalition of Nine Parties had rescinded its support for Jupe’s candidature — as Pacitan deputy regent — because she had never confirmed whether she would be running.
She also did not complete the administrative procedures required to run as deputy regent.
“It not a matter of being late or not, but I had to think hard, because this is not only [asking] about ID or diplomas, but also about financial wealth. I had to think hard about that,” Jupe said when asked why she hadn’t submitted the paperwork for her candidacy. — JP
