This refers to an article titled “Cleric jailed for 4 years for marrying underage girl”, (the Post, Nov. 25, p. 2).

Loving relationships between a man and a woman are not about sex only — that is only one element. They are about respect and friendship too, and yes, true, deep and meaningful love, and compatibility, are iimportant.

How can a middle-aged man and an under-age girl with no worldly experience have the type of normal man and woman relationship?

What can they possibly have in common to talk about, what interests could they share?

Personally I think that Pudjiono Cahyo Widianto should have had been handed a harsher punishment. Most certainly he should never be allowed to run a business/school that enables contact between him and infants, and the youth.
