middle-aged man allegedly killed himself by jumping from the fifth floor of the fX Lifestyle Center, Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday.

“All at once I heard the sound of a falling body. It was loud. When I looked there was a middle-aged man and he was not moving,” fX salesperson Anna said, as quoted by kompas.com.

Anna said everything happened very quickly at about 2 p.m. “He jumped from the fifth floor. He was covered with blood when I saw him,” she said.

The man did not scream or yell and no one noticed that he was preparing to jump, she said. People panicked when he hit the floor, she added.

After the incident, security guards protected the area around the body until officers came to remove it, with cleaners then arriving to wash away the man’s blood.
