AKARTA: The City Council said Friday it was not able to conclude the deliberation of a draft of the 2010-2030 spatial planning bill since it was waiting for feedback from the public.
Triwisaksana, the chairman of the council’s regional legislation committee, said the council had continued to receive many suggestions and criticism from the public on the bill’s substance.
He said all the opinions would be discussed to complete the bill’s deliberation, which may be endorsed in April.
Earlier this year, the council vowed to finish deliberations on the bill by the end of January.
The bill regulates how the capital city will grow in the next 20 years.
Critics said the draft spatial planning bylaw did not accommodate public participation and suggested the city consult with all stakeholders, especially the poor. — JP
