AKARTA: The city administration expects to begin construction of a bridge on Monday that will connect Atrium Plaza and the Senen Market in Senen, Central Jakarta.
City Transportation Agency head Udar Pristono advised motorists Sunday not to travel through the Senen area for the next three months.
“During the project some streets in the area will be narrowed,” Pristono said, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com. He added that they expected the project to be complete after only three months.
Pristono said the bridge would assist shoppers in the area.
“The bridge will integrate the area,” he said.
Pristono said no TransJakarta bus routes would be disrupted because of the project.
He also advised motorists to take through-roads like Jl. Dr. Wahidin, Jl. Senen Raya, Jl. Kali Lio and Jl. Bungur Street. — JP
