AKARTA: Around 500 local and multinational firms in the metalworking and machine tool industry will participate in the fifth International Metalworking Technology and Machine Tools (MTT) Expo 2011 to be held at the Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran, Jakarta, this month.
Seminars on Indonesia’s mold and die industrial development and on metalworking and engineering technology and welding would be also held during the three-day event, set to open on May 25.
“Market leaders and technology innovators from 23 countries will exhibit their latest products, which may fulfill the needs of our domestic industry,” Achmad Safiun, the chairman of the Federation of Indonesian Metalworks and Machinery Industry (GAMMA), the firm that hosted the event, told reporters during a press briefing in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Global players such as Sandmaster of Switzerland, Mitsubishi Electric of Japan and Awea Mechanthronic of Taiwan are expected to join in the event. — JP
