AKARTA: The Jakarta Public Works Agency says its environmental impact analysis (Amdal) for the construction of the Antasari-Blok M elevated road in South Jakarta has been approved by the Jakarta Environment Board (BPLHD).
Novizal, the agency’s bridge division head, said the project met all the criteria, except for the noise problem.
“But, we are sure that the noise level can be reduced in the coming months as we will soon reduce the use of heavy machinery,” he said.
The agency submits an Amdal to the BPLHD every three months during the construction of the 4.8-kilometer-long elevated road, which is expected to be completed in April next year. — JP
