AKARTA: CouchSurfing Indonesia, a community designed to share living spaces for free, will hold the CouchSurfing Indonesia Festival, an 11-day event filled with activities that focus on sharing, learning and spreading information about art and culture.
Nancy Margaretha, CouchSurfing’s ambassador for Indonesia, said, “Last year, we were focusing the activities on our members. This year, the festival is about what we can give to the public.”
Except for the event at CCF Bandung, none of the events require a reservation, she said.
The festival will start on June 23, with Pecha Kucha Night at Es Teler 77 on Jl. Adityawarman No 61 in South Jakarta.
CouchSurfing Indonesia has 17,000 members and 8,000 houses open to all travelers for free. For more information on the festival, visit http://www.facebook.com/CouchSurfingIndonesia — JP
