AKARTA: The City Transportation Agency said it would start imposing a total ban on on-street parking along Jl. Gajah Mada and Jl. Hayam Wuruk in West Jakarta, on Thursday.
“Our program to familiarize motorists with the ban wraps up today,” head of City Transportation Agency Udar Pristono said as quoted by kompas.com.
Pristono said that from Thursday, police would start handing out tickets to motorists violating the ban.
The city officially started imposing the on-street parking ban along the city’s busiest business district on June 20.
