AKARTA: The Jakarta Transportation Agency has filed a report over sub-standard liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) being distributed to the Transjakarta Busway.
“I have received reports of water and lubricants being found mixed in the fuel. This is a serious problem because it could disrupt Transjakarta service,” agency chief Udar Pristono said on Friday.
Pristono expected state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina to respond to the matter as soon as possible.
Transjakarta depends on PT Pertamina and state gas firm PT PGN for its fuel supply. Refueling delays have been blamed for increasing passenger wait times.
Last year, different fuel prices from the companies created long lines of Transjakarta buses at gas stations.
