Asmirandah: Being a good girl

any roles in different soap operas and commercials have created a place for actress Asmirandah in the hearts of television audiences.

Andah — as she is popularly known — is not only a familiar face on TV. She also appeared in Rudi Soedjarwo’s film Liar (Wild) and in the sequel of the religious film Ketika Cinta Bertasbih (When Love Worships).

People are currently watching her in Kemilau Cinta Kamila (Kamila’s Shining Love) to Binar Bening Berlian (Berlian’s Clear Shine).

“I wake up early everyday, even if it is a Sunday or my day off.

After waking up, I perform dawn prayers.

If I really feel sleepy after having worked until really late, I’ll go back to sleep.

But I will only sleep until 7 a.m. at the latest, since we have family breakfast.

During my free time, I like to spend it with my family.

We never make plans because an idea just suddenly pops up. Usually, we go out either to take a walk or have something to eat together.

My 21st birthday ( last year) was the most memorable time. I never celebrated my birthday before. At that time, my father’s family from Holland and my mom’s family gathered in Jakarta for the occasion. We had a party in Kemang [South Jakarta]. It was a special moment and I was really happy.

I also love to hang out with my friends, but we usually decide that on short notice. If we have free time tomorrow, say, we’ll just meet and hang out together.

When my schedule is really tight, usually my best friends will drop by to my shooting location and we’ll chat or have a heart-to-heart talk with each other.

For food, I eat anything as long as it is halal.

I also like swimming and everything related to art, such as painting, writing and acting.

We have a swimming pool at home so I can just jump whenever I feel like.

I also like extreme sports, such as bungee jumping and rafting. I usually go to Bali or Sukabumi in West Java for rafting.

For vacation, if I only have two days off, I will just stay at home, but if I have two weeks of holiday, I will fly to Europe.

I have been to Europe before, but I have not visited Athens in Greece. I terribly want to go there to see the city’s heritage places.”
