AKARTA: In a bid to improve gas-based fuel distribution, the Jakarta Transportation Agency has prepared four locations for mobile-tanker CNG stations planned by state-owned company Pertamina.
The locations are Kalideres in West Jakarta, Cililitan and Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan in East Jakarta, and Ancol in North Jakarta.
“We hope these additional stations will reduce the waiting line of vehicles and also Transjakarta buses at existing stations,” agency chief Udar Pristono said on Monday.
Each tanker truck is expected to carry around 6,000 liters of CNG, which is enough to fill the tanks of 50 buses.
There are only five gas-based fuel stations operational in the capital, located in Daan Mogot in West Jakarta, Jl. Pemuda, Kampung Rambutan and Pinang Ranti in East Jakarta and Pancoran in South Jakarta.
