he Jakarta Post’s front page article of Feb. 14, 2012 reported that Umar Patek was captured after his nine-year flight from justice by US Special Forces and the US Commandos had to shoot Patek in order to capture him.
Please allow me to clarify that the US Special Operations units were not involved in the capture of Umar Patek. And US Commandos did not shoot Umar Patek.
