The four men accused of murdering a Bina Nusantara University student should only be sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment because their crime was not premeditated, according to their lawyer.
Completing his defense statement, attorney Restu Sri Utomo told the West Jakarta District Court on Tuesday to consider the fact that his clients did not take with them any “special tools” to kill 20-year-old Livia Pavita Soelistiyo in August.
Your comments:
To Livia’s family, please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences for the death of Livia. Let us take this situation to contemplate how the Lord Jesus went through similar unfair treatment in the name of justice, suffered severe torture beyond imagination and ended up dying a slow, painful and humiliating death on the cross.
Livia has completed her ordeal and deserves everlasting happiness and peace in heaven. And last but not least, let us again learn from the Lord Jesus to pray and forgive those who murdered Livia and the judge who led the unfair trial.

Some lame and outrageous defense. Even if there was no intent to kill, there was the intention to rob (which the defense admits) and more seriously, the intent to rape.
