(Kompas.com/Sabrina Asril)A suspected bomb explosion rocked a house at Jl. Kecipir, Depok, West Java, on Saturday night, injuring one.
Metro TV reported that the police were still investigating the incident, and that there was a possibility that it was an act of terrorism.
The loud sound of the explosion, which occurred on 9 p.m., shocked residents in the area.
“I heard a loud sound outside. I saw that one person had lost a hand,” Betsy, a witness, told Metro TV via telephone.
“There was an explosion, but we don’t know whether it’s a gas stove explosion or from explosives,” said Beji police chief Adj. Comr. Agus Widodo, as quoted by merdeka.com.
Agus said that there was only one victim that was taken to hospital.
