This is a comment on a letter entitled: '€œViolence, marathons, Indonesia, Boston,'€ by Tabitha Kidwell, Salatiga on April 18.

According to the US, it is terrorism if the attacks are committed by Muslims. Other than that, well, it is simply an ordinary crime.

Next, the US will define all bombs as having a religion. Those innocent people, thousands of them, who have been killed by US bombs around the world, in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq in particular were not terrorized. (By Tabitha Zamroni)

Your comments:

It is very clear that Tabitha Zamroni either did not fully read or understand the beautiful piece written by Tabitha Kidwell on April 18 before commenting and spreading her hateful message.

In '€œViolence, marathons, Indonesia, Boston,'€ Ms. Kidwell talks about making connections in our own lives to senseless acts of violence everywhere and finding conduits for condolences.

That is the essence of human compassion, when we are willing to take someone else'€™s tragedy and make it our own.

She then goes on to express the power and beauty of the phrase Alhamdulillah, which is how she felt when she found out her friends were safe from the Boston bombings.

It is very sad that Ms. Zamroni would turn such a sincere, insightful and compassionate letter about violence into such hateful, ignorant comments bashing the United States of America.

The world needs more people like Ms. Kidwell spreading compassion rather than people like Ms. Zamroni spreading hate.

I applaud Ms. Kidwell in her letter and fully agree with her when she says '€œEver since Sept 11, 2001, many Americans think of Islam when they think of terrorism and that is a sad and unfortunate connection.'€

Please read the letter again Ms. Zamroni and try to understand the message before spreading any more of your hate.

Both the US and Saudi Arabia have provided a vehicle for radicals to carry out their own sick agendas.

It is not about religion. It is about a bunch of vicious, hungry, cowardly men, who are intent on destroying world peace with no respect for human life, least of all those of women and children.

I just hope southeast Asian Muslims don'€™t go down the same path.

I feel sorry for those people (believers or otherwise) who are forever doomed to look over their shoulders, even in their own backyards.

Is it justification for the killing of innocent people?

I am curious, why is it so hard for a number of radicals to integrate in a country?

They seem to just promote violence and intolerance.
