Male officials told not to hire female secretary

G

orontaloGovernor Rusli Habibie called on male agency heads at the provincialadministration to replace their female secretaries with men.

The new policy follows reports of affairs the officials had reportedly had with their secretaries.

'€œI heard that some agency heads have affairs with their secretaries. They even treat their secretaries better than their wives or children,'€ said Rusli.

He said he had instructed the provincial administration secretary to make a list of all the administration'€™s female secretaries. Only female agency heads would be able to hire female secretaries.

Rusli called on the secretaries to focus on their work and not to give in to their bosses'€™ sweet nothings, adding that he would take stern action against those who violated the ruling.

During his term as a governor, Rusli, has issued a number of controversial policies. In March, 2012, he ordered the salaries of all male officials
