he promoter of American heavy metal band Metallica, Blackrock Entertainment, says the rock titans will perform in front of Indonesian fans on Aug. 25 for more than two hours.
'There will be no opening act; they don't want it. The concert is slated to take place for more than 2 hours, but we don't have the set list yet,' Krishna Radhitya, the company's president director, said.
In addition, Krishna said that Metallica had also prepared a monstrous 200,000-watt sound system to support the concert at Bung Karno Stadium in Senayan, South Jakarta.
Krishna said in order to avoid a repetition of the chaos that broke out during Metallica's 1993 concert in Jakarta, the promoter would deploy 4,800 security officers.
'Both Metallica and us don't want the chaos to happen again; we've learned a lot from what happened 20 years ago,' Krishna said, adding that they had prepared a total of 54,000 tickets.
