he Transportation Ministry has announced that International Kuala Namu Airport in Medan, North Sumatra, will be fully operational by July 25.
Kuala Namu Airport will replace Polonia Airport as an international hub in Medan.
Transportation Ministry public relations director general Israfulhayat said the airport cost Rp 5.8 trillion to build.
'As much as 59 percent of the budget came from the ministry while 41 percent from [state-owned airport operator] PT Angkasa Pura II,' Israfulhayat said as quoted by Kontan.co.id on Monday.
