he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) hasdesignated two judges who handled a corruption case in the Corruption Court inGrobogan regency, Central Java, as corruption suspects.
KPK spokesman Johan Budi said Monday that the judges, who are with initials P and A, allegedly accepted bribe in handling a corruption case.
'We already have two strong evidences to prove their involvement in the case. Meanwhile, the person who bribed them has been named suspect,' he said as quoted by tempo.co.id.
Both P and A violated Law No. 31/1999 as amended by Law No. 20/2001 on corruption eradication Article 12 C and Article 6 (2).
P and A were on the same court with former judge Kartini Julianna Magdalena Marpaung who accepted bribe in the corruption case of the Grobogan's regional budget. Kartini was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment with a fine of Rp 500 million (US$51,546) or an additional five months in jail.
