Two graft court judges named suspect

he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) hasdesignated two judges who handled a corruption case in the Corruption Court inGrobogan regency, Central Java, as corruption suspects.

KPK spokesman Johan Budi said Monday that the judges, who are with initials P and A, allegedly accepted bribe in handling a corruption case.

'€œWe already have two strong evidences to prove their involvement in the case. Meanwhile, the person who bribed them has been named suspect,'€ he said as quoted by tempo.co.id.

Both P and A violated Law No. 31/1999 as amended by Law No. 20/2001 on corruption eradication Article 12 C and Article 6 (2). 

P and A were on the same court with former judge Kartini Julianna Magdalena Marpaung who accepted bribe in the corruption case of the Grobogan'€™s regional budget. Kartini was sentenced to eight years'€™ imprisonment with a fine of Rp 500 million (US$51,546) or an additional five months in jail.
