he Jambi Police and officials at the Jambi Law and Human Rights Ministry questioned 14 correctional officers at the Jambi Class II A Penitentiary over the discovery of drugs in the prison.

During a raid recently, officers found 31 small packages of crystal meth, 38 packages of dried marijuana, 1 package of heroin and 1 big package of crystal meth. They also seized 1 set of weighting scales, 1 bong and hundreds of small plastic containers.

As of Friday, the owners of the drugs remained unknown, said the Jambi Penitentiary head, Hendra Eka Putra.

'The perpetrators were not caught in CCTV. The drugs were found in the dust bin, outside the cell area. The perpetrators could be anybody,' Hendra said.

He said that the police had taken urine test on the correctional officers to find out whether they used drugs and were involved in the case. 'But based on the test, the results were negative,' Hendra added.
