Models flaunt Sebastian Gunawan'€™s latest collection, ModMuse.

Prominent fashion designer Sebastian Gunawan has embraced 2014, revealing a new collection that he calls ModMuse.

A prolific designer renowned for glamorous gowns and dresses, Sebastian, popularly known as Seba , works hand-in-hand with his wife Cristina Panarese in designing and producing 118 of the latest looks, which are dominated by gold and silver '€“ the color trend of 2014.

ModMuse derives from '€œmodern'€ and '€œmuse'€, which the couple translates into something that is '€œup-to-date'€.

For the collection, Sebastian and Panarese were inspired by regular women with great fashion sense.

They prefer regular women who love to display their fashion sense through social media.

'€œModMuse identifies women of today who have characters and good sense; women who are concerned with how to express their beauty; those who know what they want and are original,'€ said the couple.

In Sebastian'€™s stunning signature show at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Mulia in Central Jakarta recently, guests and fashion lovers were presented with a pile of inspiring looks and styles.

For ModMuse, the couple explored more feminine, glamorous, playful and romantic looks.

Cocktail suits, short dresses and jumpsuits were among the graceful outfits of the collection, which were swiftly arranged within ruffles. Wide to simple skirts mixed with cropped tops and midi-length skirts, were also highlights.

In another segment, the designers featured daring gowns, shift dresses and volume gowns made of flashy fabrics for those with a brave heart.

For women with strong character, Sebastian and Panarese offered sturdy gowns with draperies, over-layered suits, as well as freshly designed winged-outfits '€“ all rich with interesting ornaments and details.

Last but not least, Sebastian teased his audience with three simple yet classic white wedding gowns under the Sebastian Sposa line.

In the powerful collection, the couple uses classy fabrics such as knitted fabric, damask, organza, lurex with flashy lines, suede, lace and brocade within cream, orange, turquoise and blue colors aside from golden, silver and bronze.

Nevertheless, gold, silver as well as bronze, dominated the collection.

'€œYou'€™ll see other colors, like blue, but all [colors] are mixed with gold and silver, which are the '€˜it'€™ colors in 2014,'€ said Sebastian.

To kick-up the glam, Sebastian and Panarese added Swarovski crystals as well as elegant sequins.

Sebastian appreciates women who are able to be fashion role models.

'€œWe'€™ve seen a lot of women who know how to mix and match their outfits. We'€™ve also seen fashion bloggers spring out in the country '€“ they like to post their updated looks on Instagram, for example, or on any other form of social media.

'€œYou don'€™t have to be an actress to be a fashion muse. Fashion changes in a second. Whoever has good fashion sense can be a role model,'€ explained Sebastian.

Overall, Sebastian continues to present a wearable collection, in which its class and glam are never forgotten.

With cuts that accommodate both local and international tastes, his new collection is simply a classic.
