he General Elections Commission (KPU) Bogor announced through anopen recapitulation meeting that Bima Arya Sugiarto-Usmar Hariman securedthe most votes ' 132,835 ' in the Bogor mayoral elections.
Kompas.com reported that Ahmad Ru'yat and Aim Halim ticket came second with131,080 votes, Dodi Rosadi- Untung Waryono came in third with 67,715 votes, forth position wassecured by the independent ticket of Syaiful Anwar-Muztahidin Al Ayubi,with 43,448 votes, and finally Firman Sidik Galim-Gartono, also independentcandidates, secured 25,793 votes.
The popularity of Bima Arya Sugiarto, a political scholar who entered politicswhen he joined the National Mandate Party (PAN) several years ago, is attributedto his clean image. (apt/dic)
