ormer Constitutional Court chief justice Mahfud MD hasinitiated a complaints center for members of the public who want to complainabout the performance of the court'€™s justices, following the arrest of formerchief justice Akil Mochtar by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) lastweek.

'€œIf any members of society aren'€™t satisfied with the Constitutional Court'€™s performance, they can report [their complaints] here,'€ Mahfud said on Friday as quoted by tempo.co.

Mahfud said the public could file complaints should they find any indications of corruption implicating the judges.

'€œHowever, such indications should be clear. Complaints cannot be reported just because a case is rejected by the court,'€ Mahfud said. '€œWe cannot follow up a report that has no evidence behind it.'€

Mahfud said the public could also file complaints regarding ethics violations. He said that the complaint center would run effectively one week after Idul Adha.
