Model, actress and TV presenter Fiona Callaghan is doing what she loves best '€” acting and traveling '€” and getting paid to do it. The 28-year-old just finished filming the new drama flick Hati Ke Hati (Heart to Heart) and is getting her travel itinerary ready for the TV travel show Pesiar.

'€œHati Ke Hati is actually my second film project. My first was a horror movie, Tumbal Jailangkung [Talisman of Jailangkung], with [actress] Soraya Larasati.

In my latest film, I got the chance to have a cat-fight scene with another actress, Sausan Machari, who plays Lara. I'€™m telling you, the whole fighting scene was the real deal. There was a part where Lara had to knock me down with a jagged rock, and we really did it.

The fight gave me a bruise on my left temple and it took me a week to recover. It was so messy, but I'€™m satisfied because everyone involved in the scene really let it all out. It is such a great peak for the film.

To be honest, I'€™m more into drama films in terms of acting. The genre allows me to explore and express real emotions.

As for Hati Ke Hati, it was a fun project, especially with Reka Wijaya as the director. I'€™m talking about real teamwork. All the cast and crew played important roles during filming. The production wasn'€™t just about the stars or the director.

The trouble came when we had to act serious, because beforehand we were clowning around at the shooting location. It was tough, having to be serious and all, because you also had to look at the director'€™s comical face '€” and you know that he loves to make people laugh.

However, we all made it. Reka did a great job creating a comfortable shooting environment. When you enjoy what you do, it'€™s all smooth sailing.

What I love about this movie is that Reka [who also wrote the screenplay] was able to produce such natural dialogue for the script. This film is Reka from every angle.

In other news, I just got my master'€™s degree in corporate communication from the London School of Public Relations. So, over the past couple of years my life had been quite busy with finishing my master'€™s, taking some modeling jobs, shooting a drama film and hosting a TV show about traveling.

Yet again, I'€™m so lucky because I love traveling, and I got the chance to host a TV show about it. It allows me to visit adventurous places both in Indonesia and overseas.

One of the most extreme trips I'€™ve done was going to a specific diving spot in Central Halmahera. While I was doing the traveling show thing, a diving instructor offered me a real adventurous diving experience. I said yes, and this person took me to a spot where you can see sharks.

Although I have a phobia of sharks, I went anyway. After getting all tensed up and nervous going to 32 meters into dark blue ocean, we didn'€™t even see any sharks.

My upcoming trip is to Greece. I can'€™t wait to go because the destination is on my wishlist. However, no destination will compare to Indonesia.

My traveling companion and I have agreed that Indonesia is our standard for travel. It has so many places to explore, and lots of it is uncharted. We believe that once you master all the destinations in Indonesia, you'€™ll be fine traveling anywhere.'€
