he situation in Singkut district, Sarolangun regency, has returned to normal following the ousting of two Ahmadiyah families, namelythe Rukamanas and the Madjids, from the area by local residents and the villageadministration on Sunday.

Despite the improved situation, Sarolangun Police Precinct chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Ridho Hartawan said that police personnel remained on alert to protect hundreds of Ahmadis in the region.

'€œWe have met Sarolangun Regent Cek Endra to discuss this issue,'€ said Ridho, adding that all residents had the right to perform their religious practices. Ridho also called on villagers not to get easily provoked. Previously, villagers attempted to oust Ahmadiyah followers in the area as they claimed that the presence of Ahmadis had caused restlessness in the community.
