The city administration is planning to enlarge Transjakarta bus stops that are considered too small to accommodate passengers.
'We are making bigger bus stops. [The current ones] don't even have toilets,' Deputy Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama said at City Hall on Sunday.
'The project will be done this year,' he added.
Ahok said that the administration and the Transjakarta management would consider rearranging routes in accordance with traffic during rush hour in the morning and afternoon.
'We need to readjust the routes to avoid high numbers of passengers gathering at certain bus stops,' he said.
Many passengers have complained about waiting at the bus stops for hours and the lack of facilities.
