he State Palace said that President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was not to blame for natural disasters as suggested by some psychics.
Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam said that a number of psychics had been wrong for linking the expiration of Yudhoyono's term in 2014 for flooding, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
'Some of these misguided psychics tried to find links between the start of SBY's term in 2004 and the end of his term in 2014 with so many natural disasters,' Dipo said in his official Twitter account @dipoalam49.
Dipo said that the disasters, including an earthquake in Central Java on Saturday, were due to the country's position in the 'ring of fire'.
Dipo also said that some of the disasters were also the act of God.
In his new book entitled Selalu Ada Pilihan (There Is Always a Choice), Yudhoyono claims that he and his family had almost fallen victim to witchcraft.
Yudhoyono tells the story of how he and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono had to fight dark clouds hovering inside their house in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java.
