T

he Kalla Group, a business grouping owned by the family of former vice president Jusuf Kalla, is set to build 100 kilometers of road in Mamuju regency, West Sulawesi.

West Sulawesi Governor Anwar Adnan Salah said the road would connect Kalukku subdistrict, located along the coast near Mamuju Beach, with Kalumpang subdistrict.

'€œThis project aims to support people'€™s economic activities,'€ Anwar said as quoted by Antara news agency on Thursday.

Previously, PT Hadji Kalla and PT Bukaka made a joint announcement that they would be constructing the Tumbuan hydropower plant in Mamuju with capacity to produce 450 megawatts of electricity.
