More ballot papers printed for overseas voters

T

he General Elections Commission (KPU) has asked PTGelora Aksara Pratama, one of the companies that won the ballot paper tender,to increase the production of ballot papers for overseas voters.

'€œYes, [there is an addendum to the contract], we will wait [for the addendum],'€ Raja Hutauruk, the company'€™s director, said on Wednesday.

According to him, the KPU initially requested the company print 1.58 million overseas ballot papers.

'€œWe don'€™t know how much actually needs to be printed. They asked for that amount [of papers], so we printed them,'€ Raja said.

However, KPU chairman Husni Kamil Manik said the company should print 2.1 million papers to accommodate the overseas Fixed Voters List (DPT) determined on Nov. 4.

According to Raja, the KPU demanded the company finish printing the additional ballot papers within a week.
