A

recent survey conducted by a media monitoring company Awesometric shows that the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) was the most mentioned political party in various media between January 27 and February 26.

Based on a release made available to The Jakarta Post the PKS was mentioned more than 213,000 times on mainstream and social media during the one-month period. Second place is the Democratic Party with 203,247, followed by the Golkar Party, Gerindra and the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P).

However, in terms of mainstream media, the Democratic Party was the most reported with 25,500 mentions in articles, tailed by Golkar with 13,500 mentions, PDI-P (9,400), PKS (9,043) and Gerindra (7,000).

On social media, including Twitter and Facebook, the PKS was the most mentioned party with 206,600 mentions on Twitter and 3,200 on Facebook.

The Democratic Party came second with 175,600 mentions on Twitter and 2,100 on Facebook. Meanwhile, of the other five parties included in the survey, Gerindra had the most mentions on Facebook with 4,200 mentions.

The survey also showed that news site nasional.kompas.com had the most articles mentioning the PDI-P with 873 mentions, while the Democratic Party was mentioned the most by tribunnews.com (Tribun News) and rmol.co (Rakyat Merdeka) with 1,448 and 1,173 mentions respectively. (idb)
