'According to the latest report from our members, the floods entered residential areas at around 2 a.m. today,' Dadang Wahidin, coordinator of Bandung Youth Disaster Alert Association, said as quoted by Antara news agency.
Many residents from three floodÂaffected subdistricts moved to higher levels such as lowÂcost rented apartments and local government offices.
The floods in Baleendah reached a height of 2.8 meters, in Dayeuhkolot around three meters and in Bojongsoang about 2.2 meters, he pointed out.
Floods were triggered by incessant heavy rain since Sunday evening.
