n earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Bengkulu province, at 7:35 a.m on Monday, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The BMKG said the earthquake was recorded at 4.06 degrees southern latitude and 100.45 degrees eastern longitude.
The quake which took place at a depth of 20 km has no potential to create a tsunami, the Antara news agency reported. (***)
