espite having criticized Joko '€˜Jokowi'€™ Widodo'€™s political moves, ProsperousJustice Party (PKS) chairman Anis Matta has said that his party is more thanready to work in hand in hand with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P).

'€œWe'€™ve formed a coalition with the PDI-P before and there is opportunity to do so again,'€ said Anis Matta on Saturday, as quoted by Antara news portal.

In May, the PKS pledged to support PDI-P candidate Anak Agung Puspayoga in the Bali gubernatorial election. However, he suffered a narrow lost against a candidate endorsed by a number of other parties, including the Golkar Party and the Democratic Party.

Anis warned that even though there were a huge number of registered voters, it was not likely that a single party could win the elections by a landslide.

'€œMy prediction is that at the end of the day, we will only have three or four presidential-vice presidential pairs,'€ he said.

Anis was confident that the PKS would be able to garner enough votes and would be listed among the top three. (idb/dic)
