Canadian handset maker BlackBerry launched the BlackBerry Z3, its newest
edition, in Jakarta on Tuesday in a bid to capture the country's
BlackBerry CEO John Chen launched the BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta edition at the Ritz Carlton at Pacific Place, kontan.co.id reported. The handset costs Rp 2.2 million.
The handset was the first BlackBerry assembled by Taiwanese electronic giant Foxconn after both firms announced in 2013 that they would work together for the next five years.
The new BlackBerry features a high definition 5-inch touch screen and it runs on 10.2.1 BlackBerry Operating System, which means customers can install Android's APK format applications. .
It has a 5 megapixel camera at the back and a 1.1 megapixel camera at the front.
