According to one of the two victims, a 30-year-old woman, the incident took place during the evening rush hour while the bus was crowded with standing passengers. She boarded the bus at the Kuningan bus stop in South Jakarta while the second victim boarded the bus at the adjacent Tegal Parang stop.

The two victims said the perpetrator unzipped his trousers and rubbed his bare genitals against them.

'€œI felt him rubbing something against my back. I became uncomfortable, so I turned around to see what he was doing and saw that he was rubbing his bare genitals against me,'€ the second woman said as quoted by tempo.com.

She immediately reported the incident to the busway assistant, Isna Nur Hidayat. Isna, who saw that the man'€™s trousers were still unzipped, spontaneously punched him.

'€œI asked for his identification card. He was prepared and showed me a fake card,'€ said Isna, who then took the man to the Pinang Ranti Police office for further questioning.
