Presidential candidates Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Prabowo Subianto touted their religious and racial roots to their constituents during campaign events on Tuesday.
Prabowo of the Gerindra Party-led coalition reached out to people in Makassar, South Sulawesi, the hometown of Jokowi's running mate Jusuf Kalla, and to which Prabowo also claimed to have ties.

Even though Jokowi speaks less in the debates, it doesn't mean he doesn't understand anything about international affairs or borders.
In his presentation last week, he said that his vision was to forge Indonesia as a maritime country by strengthening the required infrastructure. He said he would deploy drones in the Indonesian ocean to control borders and monitor illegal activities at sea.
In addition, he would also establish regular sea transportation around all the islands to expedite and expand trade activities and reduce inequality in development in the regions while leveling the prices of commodities.
I believe he will materialize this mission since he has proven track record of hard work. I expect a lot of jobs will be created and the country's revenue will be substantially increased.
Jokowi implemented an e-government program on tax collection in Jakarta and the 2013 tax revenue increased substantially. We can imagine how much money will be collected if this e-governance is implemented throughout the country.
Having implemented e-governance, and with his vision of drone deployment and other equipment, this signifies Jokowi is technologically savvy.
