esigner Lenny Agustin is known for her colorful designs featuring various Indonesian textiles. The 40-year-old rose to fame in the fashion world when she won an international bridal design competition in 2003.

She has now established two lines of her own: Lenny Agustin for her cocktail and custom-made designs, and Lennor for her ready-to-wear collection.

The Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ) student is busy preparing for her next collection, set for release by the end of this year, which will feature Kalimantan-style embroidery.

In addition, Lenny is also busy organizing an event that combines fashion shows and music gigs.

'€œThe event is for next year. It'€™s like a combination of Indonesian Fashion Week and Java Jazz,'€ she said.

Smartphones

I have a Lenovo S930, a Samsung Galaxy S3 and a BlackBerry Bold. For me, each phone has its own function. Take the BlackBerry for example. I still use it to communicate with people through BlackBerry Messenger. I really like the keyboard, because sometimes I find it hard to type using touch screens.

But I also need my Android phones because they offer lots of good features. The cameras are also good; I love taking pictures of places and designs using my Android phones and Lenovo'€™s screen is wide so I can see the photos clearly.

I use Android phones more often than my BlackBerry. I use them to make phone calls, to update my social media accounts and to chat on WhatsApp and Skype.

And because my phone usage is very high, especially my Samsung because I install so many applications on it, I often drain the battery. But I prefer to bring chargers with me rather than use a power bank.

Social media applications

I think I use almost all social media applications '€” Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Path and others.

I'€™m most active on Instagram and Twitter. I have two Instagram accounts to promote my lines, Lenny Agustin and Lennor, and three Twitter accounts for business and personal matters. I also have several photo editing applications, like PicsArt, which I usually use to edit my photos before I upload them to social media apps.

My favorite social media app is Pinterest. I like collecting teapots and cute cups, so I enjoy scrolling down Pinterest'€™s feed to check teapot and cup designs.
