AKARTA: In the Apple Coal Jakarta Cricket Association (JCA) League 2014-2015 action this week, defending cup champions WISCI thrashed the Senayan Lions, last year'€™s Divison II winner Emerio beat the Challengers and TKCC pulverized the Jaguars.

A record unbroken fourth wicket partnership of more than 200 runs between run machine Viraj Bhammar (121 not out) and Gaurav Tiwari (77 not out) helped WISCI beat Senayan comfortably by 138 runs in Division I.

Put in to bat first, WISCI were 65/3 in 12 overs and 151/3 in 24 overs, before adding another 126 runs in the last 11 overs to end up at 277/3 in 25 overs. Ashwin Sunder was the only wicket taker, claiming all three wickets. Senayan was bowled out for 139 runs in 28 overs, giving WISCI a victory by 138 runs. '€œBig'€ Dave Holme took three wickets.

In another match in Division I at Gandhi ground, Emerio beat the Challengers by 42 runs. Emerio did well to reach 194 runs after being 130/7 in 24 overs. Rajat Jain made 36 runs. The Challengers slipped from 46/1 in 12 overs to 92/5 in 24 overs before getting all out for 152 runs. Veteran R. Vasudevan scored 41 runs. Harish Vaidyanathan took four wickets.

Meanwhile in Division II at Cibubur, TKCC won by a massive 218 runs against the hapless Jaguars. Sent in to bat first, TKCC scored a mammoth 299/6 in 35 overs with Hitesh Malhotra remaining unbeaten on 72 runs and Dipak Grover making 68 runs. Nagesh Gowda ran through the Jaguars'€™ batting lineup like a hot knife through butter taking six wickets, while Hitesh took three wickets. The Jaguars were bundled out for 81 runs in 15 overs.

WISCI, the Barbarians and Emerio lead Division I, while TKCC, the Metro Indians and the Fez Rebels lead Division II.
